Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated 3 September 2026

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means in practice

Some of the links on this site — mainly the buttons that take you to my books — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays me a small commission on the sale.

It does not cost you a penny extra. The price is exactly the same as it would be if you had typed the title into Amazon yourself. The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.

What I link to

I link to my own books, because this is my author website and that is rather the point. If I ever recommend somebody else's book, I will say plainly whether the link is an affiliate one.

I do not accept payment to recommend books. Nobody has ever paid me to mention a title and if that changes I will tell you before I mention it, not afterwards.

Cookies from Amazon

When you follow one of these links, Amazon may place a cookie in your browser so it knows the visit came from here. That cookie is Amazon's, governed by Amazon's own policies, and I never see who bought what — the reporting I receive shows totals, not people.

If you would rather not

Search the title on Amazon directly instead. You will get the same book at the same price, and I will still be delighted you read it.

A note on this page. The sentence in the box above is the specific wording Amazon requires all Associates to display. The rest describes my actual practice in plain English. It is not legal advice, and disclosure rules vary by country — if your circumstances are unusual, take proper advice.
